UPS has agreed to buy 14 new 747-8 freighters, which at the current production rate would keep the 747 assembly line going for an extra two years. UPS intends to use the aircraft to expand international airfreight capacity, while shifting older 747s to domestic use.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Sales for the 747-8 have been slow as passenger airlines have been more interested in the smaller but more modern Boeing 777X and Airbus A350 for their long-haul international routes, but the extra infusion of cash potentially gives Boeing a chance to sell more 747s before they end production.

“UPS has greed”

You damn right they do. Two years of production all brought out. You assholes, I was only $356,999,999 dollars away from buying one of my own! I only wanted one, damnit!

Good news for Boeing. They’ve been getting their butts kicked by Airbus lately.

Opps...

And sorry about your plane dream. Probably better to let someone else take the depreciation anyway...
